Today I filled out my hospital survey, but when it came to comments about my nursing care, there wasn’t enough room to write all that I wanted to say! I spent 6 days in Henry Ford Macomb with Covid pneumonia. It was challenging and scary, to say the least. I want you to know that everyone was excellent in providing the care that I needed. Zack did my first Remdesivir treatment. He was efficient and so good with an IV on me with terrible veins. Nancy was great with my 4 a.m. blood draws and Sher too, both pleasant and gentle. Michael came to help restart another IV pic line at 2 a.m., very good at his job and bedside manner. Michelle, so kind and helpful, Maria so pleasant, Brooke so sweet and caring, wanting me to be comfortable. Sam, so pleasant and attentive, Marigold, so happy and cheerful and brightened up my room whenever she came in. But my most memorable and loved nurse was Laken. She was the kindest, most caring, and compassionate of all. Her sincere love for her patients is to be commended, going above her nursing duties to make her patients feel truly cared about. That was so appreciated since I could not have contact with anyone, which is a lonely place to be. I will never forget all the wonderful nurses and aides who helped me through such an awful time in my life. May God bless each of you for what you do so well.
Thank you for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
