It’s Meg's compassion, empathy, and care that make a meaningful, lasting difference.
Meg is such an Angel. I was so frustrated about my diagnosis and Meg just dropped everything to sit with me. She comforted me and uttered empowering words to cheer me up. She helped me call my Grandson to sing him Happy Birthday. She is very kind and always smiling. You can tell even with the mask on. It’s her compassion, empathy, and care that make a meaningful, lasting difference.
***
As a new RN employee, she is very friendly and exhibits team spirit. She is already a preceptor as she can share acute care expertise. She had been positive with her outlook for improving care like reducing call light use frequency by doing hourly rounding, not waiting for Veteran to have to get up and risk falling if unattended immediately. She is very compliant with the hospital’s policy and patiently hears Veterans' stories. She manages her time well, has a good rapport with fellow RNs, CANs, and MSAs. She is a great addition to our acute care and will be honored that she be considered for this award.
