Meg is a true gem on Earth. I was irate when I first met her and she was not only an exceptional listener, her compassion was above and beyond expectation. I felt how personable she was with my child through crisis. She kept me informed every step of her shift. She thought of A and in return, A would look for her as she moved around the room. Her ability to connect with us was impressive and much needed. She always put herself in my shoes and supported us.
Meg grabbed and offered whatever I needed. She anticipated A's needs and remained cool, calm and collected under pressure. Pressure makes diamonds and she is a true DAISY Nurse because of her exemplary care. Meg celebrated with me when A made positive progress. She showed respect for her team while making me feel like A and I came first. She spoke up and intervened when there was miscommunication. She navigated through a crisis situation with ease and control. Her combination of professionalism and initiative positively influenced/impacted A's recovery. I am thankful for her commitment to patient care. Meg is incredible to watch in action. Before I even introduced myself, she wiped my daughter and I clean of vomit. She was always open to questions, dialogue, and resolution. Thank you for "waving" us! You left an impression we won't forget.
