Meghan Willig, RN

Throughout my capstone rotation with Meghan, she embodied what the DAISY Award is all about, every single day she showed up with a warm and welcoming attitude towards me as her student, coworkers, patients, and their families. Every day not only did she patiently walk me through every new skill or medication I was unfamiliar with, but she pushed me to be confident in myself, never showing any annoyance, disapproval or impatience. She not only answered my endless questions, but those of her patients, and built healthy relationships with her patients where they could trust her. Meghan brings a wealth of knowledge to the unit, and is always ready to help other nurses in need. She rarely sits still even on a slow day and will walk around looking to help others, stock rooms, or organize the nurses station. She exemplifies the type of nurse I aspire to be. She has guided me to become a better nurse throughout my capstone shifts with her more than all other clinical rotations combined with her great attitude and preparedness for every day. Meghan is an exceptional teacher, and nurse.
