Melinda (Mindy) Hellerman, RN

Mindy simply exemplifies what it means to be a nurse and all of the positive attributes we associate with the profession. I have had the privilege of working alongside her in the field for almost five years, as well as on a Communications Committee for a couple of years. Mindy deeply cares for each of the patients and their family members/caregivers she encounters. She always maintains a professional demeanor, while also demonstrating a calm, approachable, and friendly attitude. I have never once heard anything negative about Mindy from a patient, peer, or supervisor. She is always a team player, reliable, and willing to take the time to answer questions, educate others, collaborate, and offer insight and ideas to solve issues. She is willing to implement new processes and procedures with a positive approach and attitude and offers constructive feedback for changes and improvement. She is liked and well-respected by her patients and peers alike. Mindy is at the heart of what it means to truly serve others. We are the organization we are, because of people like Mindy.
