I have had the pleasure of meeting Melissa during the multiple times I visited my son. My son had gotten such wonderful care from everyone throughout his hospital admission. Melissa, however, has treated my son with exemplary care! She spoke to him in a calm and compassionate way that made him smile the minute she entered the room. Melissa presents herself as a well-seasoned nurse far beyond her years as a nurse. She is a great listener and always looks directly at my son when she speaks to him. She is thorough in explaining his meds, tests, treatments, and procedures. If she doesn't have an answer to his question, she promptly finds out and returns with the answer. She has had many conversations with him about his plan of care. Melissa has gone far above the standards of patient care. Due to the sensitivity of my son's admission, she speaks to him with the utmost positivity & respect! They discussed his willingness to fight in order for him to become the person who is now willing to see the light through the trees.
