Melissa McEver is known for the compassion she shows patients. She demonstrated that compassionate with a patient who needed assistance with his clothes. Melissa's nominator said Melissa came in on her off day to take a patient's clothes home so she could wash them. She also purchased some shorts and shirts for the patient.
"Melissa created a very compassionate moment to help a patient without receiving any recognition. This is one of many instances where she has shown compassion. Melissa has gone above and beyond expectations many times, and that is the true meaning behind the DAISY Award."
