Melissa was a big part of getting things under control and moving forward with our daughter's recovery. Emotionally, missing two weeks of school was taking a toll on our daughter but she made it back to school that next week. There is no doubt in our minds that without Melissa's care, compassion and encouragement throughout the second stay, this likely would not have happened.

We are writing this nomination to let you know how lucky you are to have a nurse like Melissa. We feel she is very deserving of this award based on our time spent with her at American Family Children's Hospital. While there was not one big thing that stuck out, it was the many small things that Melissa did that made a difference to us and our daughter.
