Melody is a truly special individual who consistently goes out of her way to insure that the needs of her patients and their family members are met. The unit routinely receives feedback from follow-up phone calls indicating that Melody makes her patients feel like they are the only one she is caring for, and that no matter how trivial, their needs are her priority.

One patient indicated on a follow up phone call that Melody "saved her life"; the patient had a long standing issue with depression and was extremely touched by how Melody took the time to make her feel like someone actually cared and that life was worth living.

A married couple called the hospital wishing to thank Melody personally for the wonderful care she provided and how much she helped both of them cope with a difficult transition in their lives.

When fellow team members or members of their family, are admitted to the hospital, they often call ahead to the unit to request Melody for their nurse.
