Merry Beth went above and beyond in her nursing ability today. My dad was admitted and had a heart cath the next day. This was very scary for him and for our family. The cath ended up being a little longer of a procedure than expected. Merry Beth kept us informed the entire time and addressed the family's needs even when the patient wasn't in the room. When my father returned, she stayed with him and eased his anxiety and fears along with his pain. She continued to care for him until the end of the shift and beyond! Merry Beth finally came to do one last check on us and tell us goodbye 2 hours after her shift ended. From a family/patient and nurse experience, she went above and beyond. She put my family before her own time. She is the true perfect picture of a great compassionate nurse! Coming from one RN to another, thanks a million!

Merry Beth recognized very quickly that she had taken care of my mother previously. She came into the room and made a point to talk with my parents - see if my mom remembered her and to see how she was and how she was feeling. Even though my mom didn't recall, my father and us children did and it meant something to see Merry Beth be caring. As the day went on my mother's health declined as we expected. Merry Beth was available to explain and give our family peace and understanding in making decisions.
We appreciate her kind caring heart and feel she definitely should be recognized.
