A little over three years ago, my husband had his right leg removed by the VA hospital and was moved to a rehab facility to recover, but many problems nearly took his life and he was taken by ambulance to Mercy San Juan Hospital twice. The medical care he received there was life-changing both in saving his life and for us not to drown in financial debt. Recovery has been slow, but he now has recovered and is successfully using a prosthetic leg, driving again and this past two summers has been able to work for six weeks at the Pumpkin Farm. We want to show our gratitude for all the kindness, great medical care, nurses going the extra mile, and teaching me how to care for him when he came home.
