During the stress and chaos of the first days of transition to our new electronic health record in the hospital, Micha demonstrated remarkable critical thinking and problem solving skills and had the fortitude to seek corrective action on behalf of an incapacitated patient. Micha demonstrated compassion and collaborated with nursing and medical staff while advocating for the best care for his patient. Micha followed his instinct when he recognized “something was just not right” and prevented what could have been a tragic outcome for his patient. He was able to multi-task and prioritize care in a crisis situation while remaining calm and exhibiting nursing professionalism at its best.
Micha Jones consistently remained kind and compassionate to a very confused and agitated patient. Micha’s strong customer service skills excelled as he continually communicated with his patient demonstrating the utmost respect and kindness. I must say, I feel it was an honor to work beside such an amazing caregiver and witness the impact he had on the patient and other staff members involved in her care. Micha is truly an asset to our institution and to the profession of nursing and I believe he has a very bright future. Micha epitomized the mission of Trinity Mother Frances through service with compassion, excellence and efficiency. –coworker
