Michael Abbott, RN

Mike cares like family, always helping out, especially in the ED. There to lend a helping hand when we are drowning in the ED. He steps up to pass meds, find beds, and talk to the administration. He is a wealth of knowledge and a calm presence in stressful situations. When Mike is working we know it's going to be a good night.

One day after 10 pm our mid-shifters left in the ED and we were holding 17 admits and 4 ER patients. Mike came down and started working as an ER Nurse. He saved the team from an extreme nurse-to-patient ratio and gave us hope for the rest of the shift Mike's help is truly appreciated by staff and patients. It is always a relief when Mike is the house supervisor because he is always willing to help where needed.
