Michael Escalante 2022, RN

We got a call from EMS to prepare for a very agitated patient that might require restraint or sedation and security. Michael was able to de-escalate the patient with verbal techniques and completely avoid restraints. He earned the patient's trust and avoided a potentially dangerous situation for the staff and the patient. The standard would be to sedate and restrain and we were able to avoid this due to Nurse Escalante's actions.
