Nurse Mike was excellent in all categories. He was knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, and a wonderful nurse. He also made me feel confident and hopeful. He performed in an excellent manner during every meeting. He even got a phone wire for me when my wire bent.

Besides being a kind person, he was extremely professional and capable of showing compassion and understanding. He was able to give timely updates to family members. Even when I probably was a pain in the neck, because of my illness. He had shown a great deal of patience and I believe he was just a marvelous person. He was professional with sensibility. A close relative came to visit, and the nurse explained in detail the nature of my illness. He has been so kind to me, he lifted my spirits when I needed it the most. He helped me a lot. On every occasion, he had shown diligence, patience, and great patient care.

Whenever Mike worked with me, he made me feel more optimistic about my injury. He always came to work cheerful, which had a domino effect and made my days easier to deal with being here in the hospital. He listened and gave good feedback when we spoke. Nurse Mike has made my overall experience here great.

Nurse Mike is an amazing person and nurse. He is always willing and able to help his co-workers in the unit by working overtime or doing whatever needs to be done. I’m so happy that Mike is the recipient of the September Daisy because he has been nominated at least 7 times this year. Mike cares for his patients the way you would want your family to be cared for. He embodies all the characteristics The DAISY Award stands for and we are lucky to have him on our unit.
