When I came into the hospital, my heart rate was very high, and the doctors were having a hard time controlling it. I was here for a couple days and it still was not getting better. On my second night in the hospital, Michael Powell was my nurse. When he came in for his shift, he was noticeably concerned with my high heart rate. He began calling the doctors to try different medications to bring my heart rate down. When one medication wasn't working, Michael was calling the doctors to try another medication. He worked diligently throughout the night trying to control my heart rate and my blood pressure.
At the end of his shift, Michael had finally gotten my heart rate and my blood pressure stabilized and under control. During my first day at the hospital, I was worried and a little scared with everything that was going on. Throughout the entire time, Michael was taking care of me, he was not only determined to help me, he was also very kind and considerate. He checked on me frequently and kept his word. If he said he was going to do something, or he was going to be there, he made it happen. I am so very thankful for Michael's diligence, his hard work, and his compassion. He made me feel safe and secure in one of the most worrisome times in my life.
