My experience here at the Bend OR VA clinic with Michal Wong was something I have never experienced at any other clinic, either VA or civilian. Michal was so caring and informative. She made me feel safe and in the hands of a true healer. Not only did she help me with my mental health issues by going above and beyond by calling people from different departments to help me with my anxiety and PTSD, but she also reached out to people about helping me get a place to live.
Michal ran labs and set up Women's Clinic appointments even though I only came in for a transfer of care from the Portland VA. She sent me vitamins and special ointments for my back pain and even sent me latex gloves to apply it. She spoke not only of traditional or conventional medicine but also talked to me about "alternatives," which no one has done before. I felt so cared for that I started to cry.
My mother's a Registered Nurse, and besides her, I have never met such an intelligent, caring, and efficient nurse in my entire life. She's amazing, and I'm so grateful she is helping me with my issues: mental, physical, and finding home.
