I am a 66-year-old, I have no medical history, and I am on no prescription drugs. At the end of February, I found myself with a high heart rate and feeling weak and faint. I thought it would resolve, but after several hours, it did not. I live an hour away, but I drove into Healdsburg for emergency care. I had a heart rhythm of SVT and a rate of 180. I was converted to a regular heart rhythm in the ED but had to be admitted because my cardiac enzymes were elevated. ​​My nurse on Med Surg was Michelle, and I could not have asked for better care. She was attentive to me and my needs- she stayed in my room and talked to me about my care and diagnosis. She was very patient and knowledgeable and created a feeling of calm and well-being. She was also very attentive to my family, who were important to me for my recovery. She was professional, caring, and supportive. ​​I could not have gotten better care than I did here at Healdsburg Hospital. In my humble opinion, Michelle is quite an asset to your hospital and gives excellent care to your admitted patients in the hospital. She very much deserves special recognition.
