Micole Hoover, RN

Micole went above and beyond her call of duty while I was hospitalized unexpectedly. Micole was open and honest about what she was seeing with my progress and made sure I understood everything that was being said. When it was two days past the time I was supposed to be seen by a specific department, she made phone calls and advocated for me to be seen immediately and sure enough within minutes, that doctor was at my bedside, Micole in tow to ensure I, again, made sure I understood what the doctor was saying. Micole always had a smile on her face despite the busyness and stress of the unit whenever she walked into my room and she never once complained about how stressful it was. Micole made sure to remain my nurse each day she worked to ensure that I had continuity of care while I was hospitalized. She talked to me like I was a person, not a patient. As someone who works in a healthcare facility, I wish all nurses were like Micole.
