Miranda made the hardest time of our lives livable and brought joy in my dad's final days. She went out of her way to create an everlasting memory so my son could have one last fishing trip with Grandpa. When she came over, she told my son to grab his fishing pole, and he caught fish with Grandpa by his side. When he reeled in, she caught a photo of him and Grandpa. She taped the reel to Goldfish crackers, Swedish fish, fishing lures, and even actual smoked fish — each with a wonderful message. Miranda, I don't know what we would have done without you. You know when to advocate for your patients, when to be a cowboy, when to make us laugh, and when to comfort. Your patients and their families are so lucky to have you by their side.
