I think it was an instant connection. Miranda and my husband loved to tease each other but respected each other, too. Miranda was caring, respectful, and very dedicated to her patients.
We met Miranda in February and saw her weekly until October. It was “like” at the first meeting. I think it was an instant connection. Miranda and my husband loved to tease each other but respected each other, too. Miranda was caring, respectful, and very dedicated to her patients. She made us feel comfortable. Miranda told us that this career of hers was a calling for her, and I do believe that to be true. She was the right person for us. When Miranda came on the last day, we were all relieved when she said she wasn’t leaving. It was just what we needed to hear. We appreciate all that she did for my husband those seven months. We appreciate what she did for all of us. Miranda is good at what she does, and we feel so fortunate she was our nurse and now a forever friend.

We knew something was wrong in February. My wife was diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia. As it progressed, I became concerned about how to know if she became sick or hurt. I talked to my primary care doctor and he contacted Crossroads Hospice, and you sent us an Angel. Miranda was so caring and Professional from the beginning. She became an asset and a friend to our family. She was always there to give advice and show me ways to help and take care of my wife. As the end neared, she made sure my wife was comfortable and pain-free. She set up 24-hour hospice on her last day. My wife was able to pass comfortably and surrounded by her children and grandchildren in her home. Thank you, Miranda, for all that you did.
