Miriam's nomination letter is quite different than most. Miriam received 19 separate DAISY nominations from families, thanking her for exemplary care for their loved ones. You see, Miriam represents the entire surgical services department when she functions in the Family Support Nurse role. She is the face of Surgical Services that every family and patient sees. While many patients and families are not aware of the behind-the-scenes efforts on behalf of their loved ones, Miriam's calm and light-hearted demeanor, smile and genuine care and concern; speak for the whole department!
