When he had said his goodbyes and the majority of my family had left, you cared for my mother and son. You provided blankets, comfort, and patience with each of us. You advocated for my father to get a morphine GTT, but instead, you came in frequently to give him morphine and Ativan to keep him comfortable. You advocated for more robinul. I will always remember how you stopped and listened to my mom when she voiced her concerns during the night. Just shy of the end of your shift, my mom and son took a walk, and you medicated my dad, and we turned him. My mom and son came back. You let me know it was time to hold his hand.
