Nancy Hooker single-handedly and completely changed our experience at the maternity care center. She was just getting off working the nightshift when I started having contractions. Instead of going home and getting the much-deserved sleep she needed, especially in the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nancy stayed with us until the delivery of our sweet and precious baby girl. She stayed by our side and guided us through the entire process. After our baby’s birth, there was a complication with me having a postpartum hemorrhage. Nancy stayed right by our side the entire time. She was there through the entire process as a friendly face. She spoke with us like we were family, and helped out, going above and beyond our highest expectations. Nancy even brought us dinner after our delivery and hemorrhage-control procedure. The next night she worked, she even helped us with the baby so that we could get a couple of hours of sleep. Without a doubt, she is the reason we had such a wonderful experience. I do not believe the Health System would be the same without Nancy.
