I have had my share of hospitals lately with a new diagnosis and all, which has had me admitted for a long stay. I have had my share of nurses and I would have to say that Natalie treated me and my family with nothing but kindness and respect. Natalie always spoke when she came into the room. She always made sure to not only make sure I had everything I needed but she would walk up to my family and ask them if they would like some coffee, water, or even a danish of some sort. Natalie stayed on top of when it was time for my medicine. There have been times that I didn't even have to call to get my medicine before she would be walking into my room with her computer and my medicine. She always asked me for my name and date of birth to make sure right patient, right medicine. One thing for sure is that if she said she will be back to assess you after giving you the medicine then she did each time. Natalie called my doctor to let them know that I either needed some adjustments to my meds. If the doctor took a long time to get back to her, she made sure to keep me posted and she would always reach out to the doctor again and/or even call him. Natalie saw that I was having a hard time trying to deal with the pain I was in after my surgery. She would even make me a heating pad and/or cool wash clothes and made sure that I had clean sheets and blankets on my bed daily. Natalie had other patients but when she was in my room she made me feel like I was the only patient. Thank God for people like Natalie!
