Nelia Acuna, RN
Nurse Nelia provided an exceptional patient experience for my family and me during a time that was very scary for us. My son was admitted to the PICU and my husband and I were very overwhelmed as we were processing all of the information being presented to us. She was so caring, kind, and empathetic that she made us feel like we were all family. I knew that she was providing the best care that UH has to offer. At a time of uncertainty and fear, she was a beacon of hope. Her smile lit up our son's room each time she stepped in it. This is experience was life-changing in more ways than one and she was a big part of that positive outcome.
