Nicholas Lessner, BSN, RN, CCRN

Nicholas Lessner recently cared for a patient who had a catastrophic event. The care and empathy he showed to the grieving husband and family was amazing. He listened to their concerns, fears, and assumptions as to what might have happened to their loved one, but also was honest and open with the prognosis. He took time with the family to go over each step of what was going on with the patient, the plans for the day, and what it all meant. Nick showed immense compassion and empathy not only to the patient but also to the family.
