Nichole Sanchez practices in the Oncology unit. Nichole is being honored with the DAISY Award for going above and beyond for the patients and families she cares for. Nichole is described by her patients as being soothing and comforting. She is also described as being kind and efficient. She does everything she can to make her patients stay as comfortable as possible.
In one particular situation, the patients medication was making her feel sick. Nichole split the medications into three parts so she could figure out which ones made the patient nauseous. When she figured that out, she gave the patient nausea medication before that dose. This patient appreciated that Nichole went above and beyond to make her as comfortable as possible. She commends Nichole for taking the time to talk to her and address her concerns.
