My dad is the typical stubborn old guy who doesn’t like to go to the doctor. He needed a colonoscopy against his will. During the colonoscopy, they found that dad had cancer. Nicole Jackson was beyond amazing to my dad, myself, and my mom, who suffers from dementia. She took great care of my dad and eased his fears after hearing the dreaded “C” word. Nicole also followed up and provided support to my family and words of encouragement. She continues to reach out and be a ray of sunshine in our dark days. Nicole is truly amazing. She has a beautiful smile, a kind heart, and empathy beyond measure. My family cannot thank her enough. This nomination cannot even repay her for the care and compassion she has given to us, but it’s a good start.
