Nicole Moreno was an angel in our time of crisis! She was our nurse for 4 days in the CICU. She treated M with such respect and care in all her interactions. She was gentle with him, always explained what she was doing, and spoke directly to him when administering his medication even though he was sedated. She never failed to ask what we needed each time she was in the room often anticipating our needs by bringing a refill of water or asking if she could get us food. We had lots of family visiting M during this time and she was pleasant with them, and friendly even during her rounds of care. She was knowledgeable and in control of her patient's care and did so with a caring spirit. She never seemed to be rattled, hurried, or too busy to help us with anything.
Nicole brought a calming and reassuring demeanor anytime she entered the room; all of us felt better when she was present. She was so good about making eye contact, explaining what was happening, and answering our questions. She provided just the right amount of information for each individual, discerning exactly what information each of us needed at any specific time despite a broad spectrum of education and personalities. Nicole is far above average with excellent medical knowledge and exemplary people skills. She made this very stressful time easier because she truly cared about what was happening with her patient and his family. She is an excellent nurse!
