Nicole has always done her best to provide great care to her patients. She recently had a deaf patient whose spouse was also deaf. Nicole spent a great amount of time writing back and forth with the patient and his spouse to explain discharge. After she felt that the couple understood discharge instructions, she wished them well and her nursing assistant took them down to their car. The spouse had used the valet, which was closed. The NA recognized that the couple was older, and the spouse used a cane. (It was icy and dangerously cold this night.) She called Nicole who came down to help assist the couple in finding their car and obtained the keys from security. Nicole used the key fob to locate the couple's car. The NA and Nicole then took the couple by wheelchair to their car to ensure their safety. This is the kind of effort Nicole always displays in her care. She is working on moving into education and her CPCU team thinks she will make an excellent educator. We are proud and she is a wonderful asset to our team.
