Olivia was talking about making sure she cleaned the leftover blood out of my hair and asked if she could put in a few braids because I wouldn't be able to wash it for a few days, and braiding would help out and make it easier for me.
I had surgery to remove three cysts on my head. I had a full head of hair and was very concerned about how the surgery would affect my hair. As I was waking up from the surgery, I heard a compassionate, sweet voice. Olivia was talking about making sure she cleaned the leftover blood out of my hair and asked if she could put in a few braids because I wouldn't be able to wash it for a few days, and braiding would help out and make it easier for me. Olivia went above and beyond to show her compassion and how much she cared. She was my angel disguised as my nurse. She made something so horrible, so beautiful again.

I absolutely appreciated her and I believe that she should be awarded the DAISY for her compassion and thoughtfulness. Who comes out of surgery and looks amazing with a hairstyle? I did!

I will forever be grateful for her kind, generous, selfless act. She took the time to make sure I didn't have any leftover blood all over my head and the braids were nothing less than perfect She made me feel special, when in fact, she's the special one.

Thank you, Olivia! There aren't many people like you. Stay special and stay blessed. Thank you again and in my eyes, you won the DAISY Award just for being you!
