The night had the potential to be explosive. The emotions of "K" family were running super high and Adeleke Olusegun was assigned to be their nurse. He quickly became the target of their fear and anger. He looked beyond all the anger and reached out to them in love and validated them. He continued to reach out to them throughout their ICU experience and even during their stay on 3N. They nicknamed him "Oxygen" since his name was so hard to remember. He truly was like oxygen to them; a breath of fresh air; a wind of hope. He became their "Hero". Each night they would search the unit to see if he was working.
