Bukki went above and beyond to help a very ill patient from Nigeria. She took compassionate and empathetic care of him throughout his stay. She used her lunchtime and other spare time to make him feel better, which made him joyful. She even brought food from her home so that he may have a taste of his own culinary tradition. On multiple occasions, Bukki collaborated with the care team and the patient's family, to make the care being provided more meaningful and appropriate. One day Bukki came down to PCU to take the patient out to the reflection garden to fulfill the wish of the patient to see sunshine and feel the fresh air. Transportation was not easy on the patient who needed oxygen support and an IV pole to be carried. Thanks to Bukki, the patient saw sunshine after 30 days of being hospitalized. Well done, Bukki.
