Paige Rylands, RN

A baby that Paige had previously cared for passed away and Paige, even though this was not her current assignment, stayed over after her shift to assist with the bereavement care for that baby. When she heard that the baby's grandparents were driving several hours to come and say goodbye, she continued to stay because "I want them to meet with someone who knew [the baby]." She was very kind and caring in talking with the grieving grandparents. She was patient, answered all of their questions, and took photos of them during their time with their grandbaby.

These are small and simple things, but this family will never forget Paige Rylands and her compassion helped them mourn, which is the first step in their healing.
