When our baby was hospitalized for almost a week over New Year's we had a variety of nurses that we dealt with. Pat was THE BEST! Her confidence and caring put us at ease during an extremely difficult and stressful time for us. She always answered any question we had and was very competent. The most important thing about her that we loved was her personality. She knew when we needed her to keep things a little lighter-making both of us parents and our wee son smile and laugh often during a time that we needed it. Overall she helped shape this otherwise scary experience into something that wasn't so full of fear and worry. We will always be grateful that we were blessed to have Pat as one of our nurses (we even were sad she had days off). She definitely deserves a DAISY Award for being so awesome. by SM
Pat was just what we needed so far away from home. We're from Ohio, and my son was admitted with a broken leg from skiing at Big Sky. Pat's sense of humor was perfect for my son, keeping his mind off the fact that he was hungry and thirsty prior to surgery. She made a tough situation tolerable. And when I stated that my cell phone battery was almost gone, she took the time to find us a charger in the lost and found box (which we will return). And when she reported to work today she came to visit us even though we weren't on her floor. She even stepped in and took care of some medical issues while our nurse was busy with another patient. Now that's a team player. She wasn't even Sean's nurse anymore. And to top it off she returned again with a small parting gift before he was discharged. Loved it and her. by NM
