My doctor increased my medication without telling me and gave me information with what the nurses were told. I was very upset and frustrated along with my parents. Charge nurse, Patricia Hoey, took the time to sit down with me and my parents to explain and apologize for the doctor failing to advise me of the increase in my meds; also explained her concern for my well-being since my behavior was so erratic. She showed a lot of compassion.
I was moved into a room with a patient who kept me awake at night, slept on my bed, stole my things, walked in on me in the bathroom and frustrated me to no end. I asked to be moved to another room and was denied several times which caused much anxiety. My dad talked to charge nurse, Patricia Hoey, and explained the situation and I was moved immediately.
Patricia has been outstanding, very encouraging to me and very supportive. She always went out of her way to support me and everyone on the floor.
