Patty is amazing. We have a patient that had a recent surgery. Patty knew this patient's daughter was hoping to go on a vacation. Her daughter had her vacation planned prior to knowing this surgery would be necessary. Patty contacted the patient's daughter and let her know that she would be happy to check on the patient at home after her surgery so she could still go on her much-needed vacation. Patty knew her daughter had been taking such great care of her Mom, and she needed a bit of a break as well. Patty also plans on using some of her own PTO to take off work to get this patient to her post-op follow-up appointment. She has been helping this patient and her family through a difficult time in such meaningful ways, and I know they appreciate her for everything she has done for them. Our patients are so lucky to have such a compassionate and empathetic nurse helping them get through this difficult time in their lives.
