Paul went above and beyond his calling as a nurse. He exemplifies compassion, empathy and caring. My father was flown to Grand Junction. While we were in G.J. we had wonderful care from everyone. There was one who stood out from the rest and I am grateful to be able to express how much we appreciated not only his expertise but his compassionate care. We arrived scared and overwhelmed. My father had an arterial embolism and was taken to surgery. He established a special connection with us at such a vulnerable moment in our lives. He always took time to explain what was happening and what and when tests would be done. My father has A-fib and he took time to sit down with a model heart and explain it to us. We had greater knowledge of his condition and for that we are forever grateful.
