When I started as a new grad, Paula took me under her wing. She has guided me through difficult times and patients. She is always willing to help everyone in our unit. She is a pillar of excellence and truly cares for all the nurses and staff. She goes above and beyond to try and address any issue. She not only strives to give staff the best but also patients.
Paula is attentive to all their needs. She doesn't rely on the support staff but provides excellent total care. She advocates for her patients and works with doctors and staff to give the best care. She watches her patients closely, as well as the rest of the unit.
Paula is the perfect example of what a nurse should strive to be. I strive to be half the nurse she is. While I don't have one particular story, I feel she goes above and beyond every day for her patients, their families, and her co-workers.
