Phuc Kim Truong, BSN, RN, CPON

Kim has been with APH for over 20 years. She started as a nursing assistant and worked her way up to her current Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager leadership position. Kim is a servant leader and is quick to jump in and help a patient or team member who is in need. For the past two years, she has been the only CANM on night shift and has led the team as they faced staffing issues and high acuity patients. Kim frequently picks up extra shifts when the unit is short and always supports the nurses on her team. She has been a mentor for the new nurses on night shift and the team has even coined the phrase, “WWKD” (What would Kim Do?). Kim’s quick wit and calm demeanor have also been a morale booster for the night shift team and kept a positive work environment.
