Rachel Arnold is very helpful, answering the call bells and assisting other staff with decision making and safety concerns. She willingly accepts her patient assignments and often she has a heavy load, and never once does she complain. She maintains her composure and is always nice to everyone, happy and smiling as she works throughout the day caring for her patients.
Rachel is frequently seen on the Press Ganey Survey with all positive comments from patients regarding the excellent care she gave them. The physicians speak highly of her. She is also very caring towards the staff bringing gifts just because or for their birthday. I see her greeting patients that are not assigned to her for the day asking them how they are feeling.
Rachel visits the patients that are not even assigned to her and sometimes she prays with them. When I round I get positive feedback regarding her care. They say, "She is the best" or "I love having her for my nurse". There are so many positive comments regarding her care on angel cards. She is often seen in the room holding their hands or just listening to their concerns. Rachel has such a caring personality, she truly treats and cares for her patients as if they were her own family members. She also purchases gifts, balloons or cards for them. It is a pleasure working with her. She is dedicated to ESJH. We have some challenging patients and situations on our unit and this RN handles them professionally and tactfully.
