My 91-year-old father has been hospitalized multiple times over the last 3 months. We were all very worried that this 3rd hospital stay could increase his depression and reduce his will to live longer. I began to notice his eyes light up whenever Rachel walked into the room. She was always kind, checked on him regularly, and gave him a few more minutes to make sure he had time to go to the bathroom and walk a few steps each day. I was so impressed with her patience and kindness. Once she entered the room, she was patient and thoughtful I was really grateful that she did not hurry. The calmness she bestowed as she entered the room relaxed both myself and my mother. I’m so grateful for her thoughtfulness and kindness that brought my father back his will to keep fighting. Thank you Rachel for your calm demeanor even when the workload was so chaotic and frantic, you are really a blessing to our Veterans!
