Rae Sylvester 2, Registered Nurse

This surgery was major, and I was definitely blessed to have been taken care of by Ms. Rae Sylvester. Each day, she greeted me with a smile. She was always patient with me, and she talked to me like she genuinely cared about me. When I was in pain, she responded accordingly. Sometimes, it was with medication; sometimes, she caressed my hand or rubbed my shoulder. She made me feel so comfortable. I know that it was her kindness that allowed me to regain my strength and get better. Rae is a ray of sunshine. She cares deeply for those that she looks after. I would want Rae Sylvester to be my nurse if I ever needed a nurse. The VA has a real gem.
Thank you, Rae, for taking care of me. I think about you often and pray that you continue being a blessing to vets like me. You are a true caregiver. Thank you for helping me get through one of the most difficult times in my life. I am so glad that our paths crossed. I am extremely grateful for the care you gave to me.
