Rebecca Johnson 2023, RN
I underwent a triple bypass and spent 3 nights in the CVICU before moving to the CVIMC unit. From my first encounter with Becca, she showed nothing less than 100% care and compassion towards both myself and my wife. She explained that she was a new nurse and she was very happy to be taking care of us for the next couple of days.
Whenever she came into the room, she would explain to us what medicines she was giving, why, and what their purpose was. Any procedures that needed to be done, she explained everything that would happen and what I could expect. She was my cheerleader. With each walk I took, when I came off the oxygen, when the chest wires were removed, she was encouraging me. As a new nurse, she knew when she needed assistance and wasn’t afraid to ask. If she didn’t know the answer, she would find out. There is no doubt that as she gains more experience, she will be a very valuable asset to the hospital and to her patients. My wife and I are so happy we had the chance to meet her and we are honored to sing her praises. Go, Becca!
