Rebecca sat and talked with a patient family member well past the end of her shift about a new diagnosis because she had developed such a wonderful rapport with them. She was able to comfort them greatly in a really difficult time. The following day, she coordinated multiple family meetings with the physicians so they could get more of their questions answered. The family was especially grateful for the compassion and understanding that she showed them during every interaction.
