Regla's number one priority is the care she provides to her patients. Most recently, Regla discharged a patient who could not afford his home medications. Prior to discharge, Regla ensured his medications were sent to the pharmacy and escorted him to pick them up. While at the pharmacy Regla purchased the medications for the patient. The patient was very appreciative of her kindness and generosity. This is not the first time Regla has done something like this. She is a valuable asset to the 5400 team. She trains new nurses and interns and is very instrumental in their success. Recently, Regla suffered her own loss and while her work family was supporting her, she was also supporting them; by continuing to come to work and provide the amazing care she does to her patients. She puts her heart into every shift she works and always puts others' needs before her own. No one is more deserving of the special recognition than Regla.
