I would like to take this opportunity to thank RN Reyzell Mendoza for her excellent work ethic. She took care of my father who had cardiac surgery. My father was very independent and was living a regular/normal life. Before November 2017, for the last 13-14 months he had been through a lot, in and out of hospitalization, multiple ER visits, and doctors’ visits. He has had some bad experiences with nursing care provided a couple of times. Since then, he became very paranoid, gets irritable, and won't trust all staff. He can be a very difficult patient at times. I was very pleased to see when I just entered my dad's room seeing RN Reyzell fixing my dad's hair. She was very professional and caring. She was taking care of my father as her own father/family member. She was able to build rapport with my father in a few minutes of her shift. Her smiling face made my dad feel confident about her.

She provided not only excellent nursing care and service, but also maintained her respectful professional, and caring attitude. The whole shift, my dad's blood sugar was controlled, he walked a couple of times on her shift, and felt well taken care of. She was very prompt to address any concerns and questions my dad had, even by looking at his facial expressions. Every time she came to perform her nursing tasks, my father replied, "okay my child" and he followed and did everything she asked for.

Nurse like Reyzell makes a difference in the health outcomes of patients. She was able to understand and empathize with my father and show him that she truly cares about his situation and health. This shows that Reyzell is a great nurse, who takes care of her patient without judging them, able to work easily with difficult patients. With her compassion and caring nature, she can help her patient recover better and faster. Thank you.
