"I always wanted to be a Nurse."
As a little girl in Guyana, Rhonda could be found playing nurse and using berries in the fields for medication. At the age of 5, she emigrated with her Dad to the United States. Her interest in health care continued and Rhonda enrolled at Stony Brook University. She graduated in 2005 with a BSN degree. Interested in Womens' Health, Rhonda began her nursing career at Maimonides in Labor & Delivery. After 5-years, wanting to round out her nursing experience, Rhonda transferred to Gellman 6 West. She recently received her PCCN certification.
"Its very rewarding to me to lift my patients spirits." "When I leave for the shift and my patient hopes I come back tomorrow, it really makes my day."
