I underwent bypass surgery and was discharged about a week later. I ate well, went through physical therapy and walked around every day. The only hitch I had was a disjointed sleep pattern for several days. On the third day, at 7:00 PM, I encountered the nurse with a perpetual smile. I had just sat down lamenting to myself how hard it was to try and sleep when I hear, "So what are we going to listen to tonight?" that came from the chair next to mine. Without hesitation, I replied, "Mozart Piano Sonata 11." Seconds later, blissful music and conversation ensued for the next four hours. I finally asked her if she would take a walk with me and she agreed promptly. Afterward, she tucked me in bed and I drifted off into dreamland. I was awakened by a nudge seeing this angel again with my medication in hand. I was privileged to meet God's vessel who nurtured me mentally, physically, and spiritually. The following night was a repeat performance. I am eternally grateful for this nurse.
